Who: Atem and whoever else
What: Having a bad day
When: Friday night
Where: Outside the shopping district
Warnings: None unless someone shows up to cause trouble \\both [brackets] and prose are fine
The district seems packed on a Friday night. Such great sales and things to do, places to go, objects to spend your money on. Atem was not having such a great time, however. He seems to be just idly walking by himself, sipping slowly on some sort of beverage. There would be no other accounts of anything to do until a very rude and rushed alien completely smacked right into him.
Being of such short stature, and having not been paying attention, he gets completely bowled over- his drink (which was a chocolate milkshake) knocked to the ground, the contents spilling out. The alien yells something about watching where he's going before taking off. Atem stands, dusts himself off and sighs. A hand raises to his head.
"Tch."

"Tch."

Since I'm rushed for time right now, I'll probaby be using brackets instead of prose like I want to.
Are you all right?
it's fine~
Aa. It's unfortunate that I'm getting used to this. [In Egypt no one would dare knock over the Pharaoh. And in Domino no one would dare knock over the King of Games! ...but here..]
And now back to our regularly scheduled program
[He gave a little bit of a smile] There are a lot of things to get used to here... [As he has become increasingly aware of.]

More unfortunate circumstance. But if there was a way to go home already, I think most of us would be there.

But it just can't sit right with Edmund, and so he ambles over. "Nothing busted, I hope?"
no subject
Either way, someone is voicing concern, so despite not liking the situation, he can't just be rude and turn away. "I'm fine." The answer is relatively simple as his eyes look away from the mess created to the boy. "I don't carry anything easily broken with me." Perhaps for the simple fact that this was a reoccurring act.

And the corners of his lips turn upwards at the second comment because it's too easy to imagine the bulldozer breaking bones and the like- an exaggeration on his part, and one that shouldn't really be amusing. But still. "Weaving and dodging's skill to have here." A pause. "I think I've noticed some residents don't take well to refugees- if that's what you are. But some are just nasty to who ever."
no subject
"A lot of the aliens don't like us, no." Cluing in to the fact that he's obviously a refugee as well. "There's a specific group trying to get rid of us, I think."

"Hey…" he hesitantly walks over only once he sees the other put a hand to his head. "Are you alright?"
no subject
But once he recognizes him, he gives the other a weak grin. "I'm fine. Rory, right?"

He nearly starts to say 'I'm fine' again, but realizes he's already said it once. He shakes his head. "I've just had a migraine all day." So obviously he thought something sweet like his prized milkshake on the floor would help.

He's not looking where he's going when he turns abruptly and smacks right into her, but for once, he's not the one that's going to go down. But.... he reaches out a hand to her arm to make sure she doesn't fall either, because he's not a jerk.]
Sorry. [It's murmured, not realizing who he actually bumped into because he's not paying attention, before he turns to go.]

Getting bumped into the most sexiest man in existence? It's a blessing.

But he notices when the alien runs into Atem, and watches the whole scene with a faint curiosity.]
Is that the kind of creature that can bring you to the ground now?
no subject
However.
The way Kaiba looks gets him to soften and stop. He then smirks weakly instead.]
We're not in Domino anymore. I think they have cause to remind me every chance they get. [No one would knock over the Game King in Domino. Hmph.]

Not one to just not acknowledge such behavior, he makes his way over the other. "Are you all right?" He looks slightly uncomfortable asking, but it's his social awkwardness acting up again.
no subject
"I'm fine." The answer was given relatively easily.
