Luck, if you've been a lady to begin with [OPEN]
Who: Cheetara (
clericsdoitbest) and you.
What: Cheetara has been working security this month at The Lady Luck Casino. And you know that's got to be interesting.
When: Anytime this month.
Where: The Lady Luck Casino. Feel free to play around with this! Before or after her shift, maybe you're someone she's bouncing, whatever.
Warnings: I'll let you know when it happens.
There was gambling in Thundera, make no doubt about that. You didn't get a city as big as the city of the Thundercats and not have a few card sharks or slight of hand dealers out there, waiting to fleece others. By and large, the crown tolerated the more respectable ones in the marketplace. But Cheetara had had a few rounds of patrolling in the night that inevitably ended up with a confrontation with a few of the more shady sorts.
This place is pretty peaceful in comparison. And pretty high-tech. What part of the S.S. Thor wasn't high-tech for the cat though? Lion-O might have understood it backwards and forwards, Tygra might be a quick study in it but Cheetara? She was more of the nature sort.
Regardless, this is where she's working this month so don't be surprised if you spot the tall spotted cat milling about the casino itself, maybe poking a slot machine in her off hours even or bouncing you out if you're the one making trouble.

He needed to fuel up, but every time someone saw him, they ran? What was up with that?!
He pushes open the door to the casino in hopes that maybe that had some barrels of cola he could make use of. Unfortunately, as always, he was met with screams.
"OOOOI! WHAT'S WITH EVERYONE?!"

So that's what ends up leading her in Franky's direction, running the opposite way of the few fleeing, shrieking patrons. She dodges and weaves with little trouble, stopping a good bit from Franky regardless.
Her brows raise.
"... I think I understand now."

"Ah? Understand what?"

She was a little unnerved herself. Clerics had to deal with a lot of problems in their line of work but it usually didn't include robots. She didn't even know what to call the man in front of her. Or... well, whatever he was.
"No offense but you do seem a little frightening."
no subject
Despite the fact that he's only wearing a very badly burned speedo.
/cashier here, woo
Every so often, though, he would get one of these. A monstrously tentacled...thing stood in front of the cage protecting the cashier windows, gesturing angrily at the pile of chips it had deposited in front of him.
"These are all real. I just won these!" It burbled, sliding the pile forward again. Kaiba just stared at them impassively.
"Repeat yourself as many times as you like, it will not make them real. You didn't even bother to color this chip," he said, pulling a cardboard disk out of the pile. "At least put some effort into it before you waste my time."
"Refugee slime!" The alien spat. It reached forward with a tentacle, wrapping Kaiba's neck in a tight hold before he could push back from the window.
Kaiba grunted and tried to struggle against the alien's grip. One shaky hand dropped to his pocket, pulling a card from his deck. Without warning, he tossed it at the alien's arm. It cut deep, causing the alien to draw back with a screech. Kaiba fell back, out of reach of the angry customer. All of it just left the alien furious.

There were always problem ones though, no matter what species. And the casino did seem to attract the worst of them. As Kaiba falls back and the alien grows angrier, suddenly there she is behind the alien. One minute not there and the next she just is, tapping on the creature's 'shoulder' ... if you could call it that.
"Back again?" This one she recognized, probably because of the mass of tentacles. It certainly liked it's fake chips. She tips her head, expression neutral. "You know the rules. No harassing the cashiers. And no passing off those fakes either."
no subject
"It's too angry to bother reasoning with it now," Kaiba growled as he stumbled back to his feet.

The alien didn't manage to reach her neck before Cheetara ducked low, popped her staff out of it's holster at the small of her back, and extended it only enough to let her jam the end of the staff up under where the alien's lungs ought to be. With luck, there would be just enough power in the strike to knock the wind out of the alien and deflate some of that anger.
Smooth, fluid, easy. If she had a coin for all of the drills she went through for that very move, the cleric would have been able to build a castle better than the royal family's own.

"Won it...fair and square.." The alien wheezed, trying one more time.

He was tossed out and told not to return, strong-armed by a few more security guards to enforce the point before the cat left. She came back to the cashier's station several long moments after leaving with the rowdy tentacled guest.
She walked back up to Kaiba's window, examining the pile of chips left behind before she glanced over the man himself. "You didn't get injured, did you?"
no subject
Kaiba had stopped watching it as soon as the alien was on the ground. He had more important things to do, like wiping the slime off his card before it destroyed the print. Thankfully, this one time he hadn't made a good draw. It was his Spear Dragon rather than a Blue Eyes White Dragon. The stuff was viscous enough to hold his attention until Cheetara actually addressed him.
Even then he only spared her one appraising look. "Does it look like it?" He remarked coolly. "You wasted too much time talking."
no subject
She swept the pile of real and fake chips into her hand with that, easily separating the two and leaving the pile of real ones behind. It was pitifully small next to the fakes and that amused her some.

"Not that it matters," he murmured as he worked. "No one knows how to run a business efficiently around here."
no subject
Not that he really went to them much anyway before it happened. And it wasn't even that he cheated - it wasn't his fault his mind moved must faster then most people's or that he subconsciously put his mathematics prowess to use.
He didn't have any desire to play at the tables, however. Even if he had been on the ship for several months, he didn't want to cause trouble or even make some if he could help it. Maybe his team would be proud of the fact that he had managed to keep himself from getting in trouble.
If any of them arrived.
Sighing, he made his way towards the slots. At least this way, he was participating in the gambling and he could profile those around him as well.

When she came across Reid, it took her a brief second to place where she had seen him. Then she had to grin and ask as she paused nearby.
"Different job this month?"
no subject
"Yes, I'm teaching high school this month. How that happened, especially since I'm not exactly the best in situations like that. I'm pretty sure that back home, they'd send me on the recruitment talks because I was the only one on the team that was closest to their age."
no subject
She huffed a bit, "Particularly at that age."
no subject
"I never really thought I'd see myself back at a high school again, if not on a case. It's rather discerning, to be honest. My own high school years are ones that I'd rather forget."
