[At the sound of the other's voice, Osamu turned around. He just stared for a few long moments, trying to organize his thoughts. For a split second, he had wanted to snap and ask the kid what his problem was, before he looked at the boy's eyes.

And then he took a longer look.

Perhaps he wasn't going crazy after all.]

[He could barely breathe or move. Osamu was right here, right where he could touch and talk and apologize to him. Ken sniffed loudly, still trying to fight back those tears.]

[Osamu stared for a breathless moment.

It really was Ken, he had thought it was, but to finally have it confirmed.... it blew his mind. He wasn't even sure what he was supposed to say, but--

Ken's reaction was what worried him the most, though. Taking a step forward, he smiled in what he hoped was a reassuring manner.]

So? What sibling doesn't wish that? Jeeze, Ken, just because I never learned how to look both ways before crossing a street is no reason to blame yourself.
