[Smuggy McSmugerson here, but that was just how he dealt with Squall, all the way back in Garden and now here, where all the little SeeD kids seemed to fancy him a bad guy.

Just gave him more reason to fuck with them, mostly. Without a sorceress his dreams were put on hold... or rather- he was looking for something bigger to occupy his time. Just hadn't found it yet.

But pressing buttons and pissing Squall off was about the only way to get him to react, and since he was the only other gunblade specialist Seifer didn't have much choice but to go to him for some dueling practice.

The guy still couldn't help but hold onto his blade with both hands like it might fly off the second he tried to actually do anything. What a shame.]

Of course there's going to be a sandwich. Duh.

[SRS. BSNS. FAIS. But, doesn't consider him a bad guy yet. Just a guy that didn't pass his exam because he abandoned his team. It's enough for Squall to be disappointed with him, but not into thinking that he's an evil, bad guy.]

...Your footwork could use some improvement. And you tend to lean to the right when you parry. So, no. Nothing I like. [Still in that flat, monotone voice. No humor in his voice at all. He's serious.]

[God Squall you're such a little shit. His eyes narrow for a moment, annoyed, but then his head tilts back and Seifer starts to laugh.

Never ask Leonhart for an opinion if you didn't really want to hear it.]

I don't think the air gave a shit how I moved while I was hitting it. The hell does it matter?

Seifer does at least consider that for a few moments- despite his tendency to blow others off, believing his way to be the only way, there was enough respect for Squall to at least listen when it came to their gunblades.

Not much. Just a little. But he'd make note of it anyway. Whether he'd really listen after waving it off though was another matter...]

[Oh well, never mind. He's just going to ignore you now, to practice his own technique. No sense in getting rusty while the ship is docked. He pulls out his own gunblade, Revolver, intent on practicing. Without even thinking about it, he just goes into practiced moves, honed and perfected without any mistakes. Besides still using both hands.]

[Out here on either ship that was probably a good point. he still didn't care, he'd kick the airs ass!

He'll break you of that shitty habit one day but for now he just watched, Hyperion lifted, the blade bobbing up and down behind him as he tapped the hilt against his shoulder. No smart ass commentary this time, only an unimpressed snort each time he thought Squall's footwork wasn't all that great.

Eventually though being ignored and not having anyone's attention gets to him and with a bit of a cocky grin:]

Wanna go at it?

[One day he'll probably regret slipping in suggestive lines, even if he's pretty sure they go completely over Squall's head anyway.]

[Oh yeah. Most of that stuff does go over his head. And, hey, they both have their gunblades out. Why not use them?]

[Yeah, that didn't sound sexual at all...Not in the least. He turns around, facing Seifer with Revolver pointed at him, his stance saying that he was ready for battle. Maybe he could show him that he was right-leaning when he was fighting. Just to prove a point.]

[Squall didn't have to say anything, once Revolver was pointed his way Seifer moved forward and slashed down with Hyperion, clashing their blades together. He pressed forward roughly, hoping to unsettle Squall's stance if even just a little.

This is a G rated thread for sure.]

[It felt... good, to fight. Adrenaline was already kicking in with the promise of a heated duel, pulse speeding up. Smirk broadening. Nothing like a little near death experience to make ya feel alive.]

[It may have startled him a bit, but it didn't thrown off his stance and concentration. Nothing that Seifer had could surprise him. Yet, despite it, he craved it: the adrenaline, the quick movement and quick decisions, the rush... even the trash talk.]

[It made him feel... happy, if that emotion is possible within him.]

[Still, Squall fought a clean fight, throwing some of Seifer's obvious mistakes back at him, still trying to make that point about his footwork and his leaning.]
