[ He listens to her unflinchingly. Even if her words tear at some small part of him he didn't know existed. Even if he's cursing himself for being so stupid or for leaving in the first place or just...for not being as great as he always says he is. Because if he really was, she wouldn't have forgotten him like that.

But everything's swallowed down in favor of him putting on a front because he's the best actor out there when it comes to pretending he's okay. ]

[ He smirks, folding his arms over his chest. ]
