[ O P E N ]
Who: Lord Death (
of_order) & Everyone
What: Recent incidents have totally screwed up one of his powers.
When: During the beginning of the recent event.
Where: EVERYWHERE. The entire ship. Your bathroom.
Warnings: None, except perhaps second hand embarrassment.
[ Being an ancient, primordial horror made manifest, the Grim Reaper needless to say has some odd powers. He was not aware of the goings-on regarding the loss or trading of powers going on until he attempts to make use of one of his more convenient but pretty mundane powers:
Traveling between mirrors.
It makes getting to and from places a lot easier! He just needs to find a mirror, pop into it, and come out in a mirror at or near his destination. Much more efficient than traveling through hallways and elevators and whatnot. Now, that is not the power that has been suppressed by recent time-space shenanigans.
No, what has been suppressed is-- ]
Kyaaa! What the Hell?! OUT, OUT, OUT!! What is this?!
[ --ahem.
What has been suppressed is his ability to navigate the bizarre non-Euclidean dimension connecting the mirrors. As evidenced by the screaming woman in the women's locker room freaking out at the sight of the Grim Reaper popping out of a mirror. He immediately re-enters the mirror, attempting to strike the bizarre event from his mind.
Which proves to be a bit difficult as he continues to pop out of the wrong mirror again and again and again throughout the ship. He really should give up and walk, but. Well. He is considerably stubborn.
So, whether you are in your room, in the bathroom, in a store, looking at your reflection in a steamed up window, or anything else that can double as a mirror, you may very well have an enormous black figure of indeterminate shape with a big skull mask popping out to say hello. ]

Is there something I may help you with? Because if you don't mind I would rather not have unexpected people come out of my mirror.

One long pause. And a stare. ]
I must have taken a wrong turn.

Yes, well--I normally know where I am going! And which ones are intrusive.

My name is Eiki by the way, since it seems appropriate to make introductions at this point.

Water?! Dang, his navigation is even more screwy than he thought. Next thing he knows, he is going to pop out of the side of a car someone just waxed... ]
Nope, nope, still not right. Maybe I took a wrong turn at the five dimensional mobius....
[ He seems a bit oblivious to the enormous splash he has just made or the presence of anyone around him.
Darn, all the ripples he just made ruined any reflection! There is no way he can use the water as mirror now. ]
Grr.

[ The noise completely startled her causing her to lose her balace. As hard as she could try, she couldn't keep herself up and came crashing into the water next to him. ]

throws up the horns. ]
Sup!

--and put my others down like that.
[ Still throwing up the horns. That...That is what she is impressed by, right? ]

When Death pops out, he screams appropriately and scrambles backward so fast his back slams into the wall. Stupid tiny bathroom.
There are things coming out of the mirror. There are things coming out of the mirror therearethingscomingoutofthemirror. What if his sister's not crazy? What if he put her in the mental institution because what he thought was her hallucinating was really THINGS COMING OUT MIRRORS. No, he will not humor the idea of his mom being stuck inside a mirror. ]
Sorry, I—
[ Wait, why is he apologizing? Anyone would be unsettled by that, right? THE GUY JUST POPPED HIS HEAD OUT OF THE MIRROR. In his own bathroom. If he's apologizing for that, this place has mellowed him out a little too much. ]
—what do you think you're doing?!
no subject
He looks around.
Then up.
Then at Zuko. He seems to ponder the current circumstance for some time, perhaps attempting to muster an answer to Zuko's question that would make sense and explain away this awkward situat-- ]
Sup!
[ Or not. ]

DON'T ACT SO CASUAL!
[ Echo, echo, echo. Acoustics in this tiny bathroom are great! ]
What are you doing in my mirror?! How did you even—
no subject
Got any tea?
no subject
What reason could I possibly have for keeping tea in my bathroom?!
no subject
For emergencies exactly like this.
no subject
This isn't an emergency. This is—
[ ...well, he doesn't know what it is. But it's definitely not an emergency. ]
—just—
[ Giving up, he hangs his head and points at the door. ]
...There's a fresh pot of tea in the kitchen.
[ Anything to get Death out of his bathroom. ]

[ Just gonna BUST INTO YOUR APARTMENT like a boss, zuko. Keeping him from doing things like this is what his son and death scythes are for, but the former is clueless and the latter are absent.
So just getting right into your kitchen and making himself at home. ]
no subject
Don't mind me, just make yourself right at home.
[ Slight sarcastic edge to his voice. BUT REALLY YOU DON'T JUST BARGE INTO PEOPLE'S HOMES LIKE THIS. ]

She's busy blushing and daydreaming when she notices a black shadow in the mirror, and the more she stares the closer it seems to get-- and before she knows it (and against common sense) she's throwing a punch right in the direction of it. ]
no subject
BONK.
Death, halfway through the mirror, just kind of
stares.
you just punched your BF's dad in the face. ]
no subject
I'm sorry--!
[ And then she's running away, through the open door that she doesn't close as she hides behind the nearest corner. She looks at her fist, miraculously unharmed, she should be careful about punching glass and anything alike...
But right now she's too distressed to think about it for longer than a second. ]
I'm so sorry, Death-san! I'm so sorry...
